About
I am an artist located near Savannah, Georgia.
Ever since I was a little girl coloring with a set of crayons, I knew that I wanted art to be a centerpiece in my life. I love it so!
Throughout my teens and twenties, I pursued my passion by entering into contests, art shows and fairs and gifting paintings to family and friends. I was privileged to win several awards that helped build my creative confidence.
Throughout the next decade, however, I began raising a family. My art got tossed to the side, as it often does for mothers, in favor of other responsibilities.
Then, in the early part of 2020, I lost my oldest son in a tragic accident. I was brought to my knees. As the rest of the world was enduring the pandemic, I was as well, only with a heavy blanket of grief on top of everything else. It was during this time that I began pursuing my art again as a way to wade through the pain and heartbreak.
Painting is a very spiritual experience for me. Most of my work is abstract and there is a rhythm, a dance, and a harmony with color and composition. My art is an exploration of those deep, emotional parts of me – as well as the joyous freedom I’ve experienced in letting go. Most of my acrylic and oil paintings are on canvas that I have stretched by hand, as I really enjoy the entire process of giving life to each piece from the very beginning.
Thank you for your interest in my work and being a part of my artistic journey.
